Many people expect a dog to relax immediately, show its true personality and understand that it is finally safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, for many dogs, especially those who have experienced abandonment, life on the streets, shelters, neglect or multiple changes of home, arriving in a new environment represents enormous stress and a complete change of everything they know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is why the 3-3-3 rule is often used in the world of dog adoption and rehabilitation\u2014a simple way to help people better understand what a dog goes through while adjusting to a new home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important to understand that this is not a strict rule, nor does every dog follow the same timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some dogs will need less time, while others, especially those with a history of trauma, fear and prolonged insecurity, will need much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First 3 Weeks \u2014 Learning the Routine and Building Trust<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
After the initial shock, many dogs gradually begin to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why it is very important not to draw conclusions too early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A dog that seemed completely calm during the first few days may actually have been under significant stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the period in which the following gradually develop:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* communication,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
