Žule is one of the dogs rescued from the horrific conditions in Grocka. He was found in appalling circumstances, exhausted and reduced to skin and bones, almost invisible among dozens of dogs struggling to survive each day.
He was weak, in seriously poor health, and suffering from a severe case of heartworm disease.
Treatment could not begin immediately. First, his condition had to be stabilized and his body given enough time to recover so that he could withstand the therapy. Only then did the fight begin—a fight that lasted more than a year and a half.
Check-ups, treatments, cardiology examinations and tests became part of his everyday life.
Today, Žule has been completely cured of heartworm disease and has no lasting complications. He has received all necessary veterinary care, is healthy, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and regularly protected against internal and external parasites.
He weighs approximately 10 kilograms and is smaller than he appears in photographs. He is unassuming, gentle, adaptable and shows no aggression. He gets along well with other dogs and cats.
Žule is one of those dogs for whom peace, safety and human tenderness mean the most.
He will not impose himself or demand attention at any cost. He will be a quiet presence, grateful for every touch, every meal and every feeling of safety he was once denied.
In his eyes, you can see how much he has been through, but also how much he still trusts people despite everything.
We are looking for a calm, responsible home for Žule, filled with love, tenderness and respect for a dog who has endured far more than he ever should have.
After everything he has been through, he deserves to spend the rest of his life loved, safe and at peace.
