Article 1

General Provisions

These General Terms and Conditions govern the methods of communication, adoption applications, the processing of personal data, and the rights and obligations of adoption applicants, members of the Animal Lovers Club, and Ventura – Animal Care Association.

The Association operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia and applicable regulations concerning animal protection and personal data protection.

The Association’s official communication channels include its official website, official Instagram pages, email correspondence, and other official channels used by the Association in its work.

By applying for adoption, joining the Animal Lovers Club, or submitting information through official communication channels, the applicant confirms that they have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions.

Article 2

Adoption Process

The Adoption Procedure is publicly available on the Association’s official website and official Instagram page, The process begins by submitting an application through our website or our official Instagram page, @ventura_udomi..

The adoption process includes communication with the applicant, joining the Animal Lovers Club, completing the questionnaire, a telephone interview, meeting the animal, a trial home, and official adoption following notarization of the agreement.

The Association reserves the right, at any stage of the process, to reject an applicant, stop the adoption process, or withdraw an animal from a trial home if it determines that the applicant does not meet the requirements, fails to comply with the agreed conditions or agreement, or endangers the animal’s safety, health, or welfare.

The Association reserves the right to reject or terminate the adoption process, based on its assessment of the animal’s welfare and safety, without being obliged to provide the applicant with a detailed explanation of its decision.

The Association’s decisions are made exclusively on the basis of an assessment of the specific animal’s needs, safety, and welfare.

During the trial period, the animal remains under the protection and responsibility of the Association and is microchipped and registered to the Association or its members.

Article 3

Processing and Protection of Personal Data

The Association collects and processes personal data exclusively for the purposes of communicating with applicants, conducting the adoption process, concluding and fulfilling agreements, maintaining membership records, protecting animals, and complying with legal obligations.

The data collected may include first and last name, contact details, residential address, household information, information relevant to the adoption process, and other information voluntarily provided by the applicant during the process.

The Association processes data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Serbia and the data protection principles established by GDPR standards.

Data is stored using appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure.

The Association does not sell, commercially transfer, or otherwise make personal data of adoption applicants, Animal Lovers Club members, or other individuals whose data is processed available for the benefit of third parties.

Personal data may be disclosed to third parties only when necessary to conduct the adoption procedure, comply with legal obligations, maintain veterinary documentation, identify the animal, or fulfill contractual obligations.

Article 4

Rights of Applicants and Users

Individuals whose personal data is processed have the right to request access to their data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of data, restriction of processing, object to processing, and request information about how their data is processed.

The Association will respond to submitted requests within a reasonable period, in accordance with its legal obligations.

Article 5

Responsibilities of Adoption Applicants

The adoption applicant is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.

If an applicant provides inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information, the Association reserves the right to immediately terminate the adoption process or withdraw the animal from the trial home.

The applicant is required to inform the Association of any significant changes in information or circumstances that may be relevant to the adoption process or the animal’s welfare.

Article 6

Communication

The Association reserves the right to terminate communication with individuals whose behavior endangers Association members, animal welfare, or interferes with the adoption process.

Article 7

Photographs and Content

Photographs, texts, and content published by the Association are intended to provide information about animals and the Association’s work and may not be copied, modified, or used for purposes that could harm the Association’s reputation or animal welfare.

Article 8

Advertising Animals in the Care of Other Guardians

The Ventura Association reserves the right, at its own discretion and subject to its approval, to feature animals in the care of other responsible rescuers and guardians on its official channels, provided that it determines the adoption process can be conducted through Ventura’s Adoption Procedure and in the best interests of the animal’s welfare.

Article 9

Amendments to Procedures and Terms

The Association reserves the right to amend the Adoption Procedure, General Terms and Conditions, and methods of communication in accordance with animal protection needs, improvements to the Association’s work, and applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia.

The current version of these documents will be available on the Association’s official website, official Instagram page, and in the highlight titled “General Terms and Conditions.”

Article 10

The applicant and the Association will endeavor to resolve any disputes amicably.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the competent court in Belgrade shall have jurisdiction.
