Ventura – Animal Care Association
Article 1
General Provisions
This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, use, storage, and protection of personal data collected and processed by Ventura – Animal Care Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) in connection with communication with adoption applicants, the adoption process, the conclusion and performance of agreements, membership records of the Animal Lovers Club, animal protection, and compliance with legal obligations.
This Privacy Policy applies together with the Association’s General Terms and Conditions and Adoption Procedure.
The Association processes personal data in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the data protection principles established by GDPR standards.
Article 2
Personal Data Collected and Processed
Personal data that may be collected and processed includes:
- * First and last name;
- * Contact details;
- * Residential address;
- * Household information;
- * Information relevant to the adoption process;
- * Other information voluntarily provided by the applicant during the process.
The Association collects and processes personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Article 3
Purposes of Data Processing
The Association collects and processes personal data exclusively for the purposes of:
- * Communicating with applicants;
- * Conducting the adoption process;
- * Concluding and performing agreements;
- * Maintaining membership records of the Animal Lovers Club;
- * Protecting animals;
- * Complying with the Association’s legal obligations.
Personal data is used exclusively in accordance with the purposes for which it was collected.
Article 4
Data Protection and Security
The Association stores personal data using appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure.
Personal data is handled responsibly and only to the extent necessary to conduct the adoption process, fulfill contractual and legal obligations, maintain membership records, and protect animals.
Article 5
Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties
The Association does not sell, commercially transfer, or otherwise make personal data of adoption applicants, Animal Lovers Club members, or other individuals whose data is processed available for the benefit of third parties.
Personal data may be disclosed to third parties only when necessary to conduct the adoption procedure, comply with legal obligations, maintain veterinary documentation, identify the animal, or fulfill contractual obligations.
Article 6
Data Retention
Personal data is retained for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as there is a legal or contractual basis for its retention.
The Association ensures that personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the purposes of processing, except where further retention is required to fulfill legal or contractual obligations.
Article 7
Rights of Data Subjects
Individuals whose personal data is processed have the right to request:
- * Access to their personal data;
- * Correction of inaccurate data;
- * Deletion of data;
- * Restriction of processing;
- * To object to processing;
- * Information about how their data is processed.
These rights are exercised in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection.

The Association will respond to submitted requests within a reasonable period, in accordance with its legal obligations.
Article 8
Applicant Responsibility for Submitted Data
The adoption applicant is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.
If an applicant provides inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information, the Association reserves the right to immediately terminate the adoption process or withdraw the animal from the trial home.
The applicant is required to inform the Association of any significant changes in information or circumstances that may be relevant to the adoption process or the animal’s welfare.
Article 9
Amendments to the Privacy Policy
The Association reserves the right to amend and supplement this Privacy Policy in accordance with animal protection needs, improvements to the Association’s work, and applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia.
The current version of the Privacy Policy will be available on the Association’s official website.
Article 10
Final Provisions
This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the rules governing the Association’s handling of personal data and applies together with the General Terms and Conditions and Adoption Procedure.
Matters not specifically regulated by this Privacy Policy are governed by the Association’s General Terms and Conditions and the applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia.
