Greta Needs a Home

Greta takes her time to build trust, but once she gives it, she gives it with her whole heart. Gentle and sensitive, she is looking for a family who will make her feel safe and loved.

She takes her time to build trust, but once she gives it, she gives it with her whole heart.

Greta is now looking for her family — the one who will show her that she never has to be afraid again.

Greta is a gentle and sensitive little girl who needs a little time to build trust with new people.

Patience, kindness and a calm environment mean a great deal to her, because that is when her true personality begins to shine. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate, loving and devoted.

Greta has come a long way since the day we rescued her. Her recovery, comprehensive veterinary diagnostics, spaying, microchipping and all necessary examinations are now behind her. She has received complete veterinary care, is in excellent overall health and is ready for adoption. A cardiology examination revealed a mild heart murmur which currently requires no treatment, only a routine annual check-up.

Greta is 3 years old and weighs just 2.5 kilograms. She has spent most of the time since her rescue in a foster home, and through everyday life with her we have learned what makes her feel most comfortable. The company of other animals gives her confidence and helps her relax and build trust more easily.

For this reason, we would love to find her a home where a stable, friendly and well-socialised dog or cat already lives. Greta thrives in a peaceful home with gentle people, a predictable daily routine and a warm little place of her own to rest.

She needs a family who will never rush her into trusting them, but will give her the time to offer that trust when she is ready. Because of her small size, Greta can be a wonderful companion both in everyday life and while travelling. She is currently a little afraid of car rides, but we believe that with time, patience and gradual familiarisation, she will overcome this fear as well. At just 2.5 kilograms, she can accompany her family almost anywhere, including travelling in an aircraft cabin.

Before applying to adopt Greta, please read her story carefully and learn about everything she has been through. It is important to us that her future family understands her needs and is ready to provide her with a safe, responsible and permanent home.
